Founded by Raqiya Phelps, Phamily Cares Inc. was created with a mission to bridge the gap between hardship and opportunity.

We recognize that financial challenges, housing insecurity, limited resources, and unexpected life circumstances can prevent hardworking individuals and families from achieving stability.

We believe everyone deserves dignity, compassion, and an opportunity to rebuild.

Our long-term vision is to develop safe, structured, and supportive transitional housing opportunities for individuals and families experiencing homelessness, recovery challenges, and financial hardship.

While we work toward making this housing vision a reality, we remain committed to addressing the immediate needs of our community through hands-on programs, meaningful partnerships, and practical assistance.

Our mission is simple: Help people overcome today’s challenges while creating opportunities for a stronger tomorrow.

What We’re Doing Now

At Phamily Cares Inc., our commitment to the community is already in action!

Through programs such as Washday Wednesday, we help individuals and families access laundry assistance, while our Confidence Closet provides free donated clothing to those in need.

Our Freestyle Friday initiative offers assistance with essential needs, such as gas and groceries, as resources become available.

We also participate in community outreach events, educational activities, seasonal donation drives, and resource referrals to help connect individuals and families with additional support.

Every program, donation, volunteer, and community partnership brings us closer to building a stronger, more compassionate community.

We’re not just building housing. We’re building hope, dignity, and pathways toward independence.
